If you have ever used Siri on the new iPhone you know that it doesn't exactly live up to the hype in their commercials.  Here is some video of Tyson making a solid attempt to use Apple's latest dumbware.

Tyson's Plea

Adventure Time and Regular Show are pretty hilarious but just because they are cartoons it doesn't mean they are shows for 4 year olds.  Tyson has seen a few episodes and every now and then he begs me to let him watch. He knows that if there are any bad words or if it seems too scary I won't let him watch so listen to what he says this show is about.

Wyatt Gets Teeth

In the past few weeks Wyatt has really been transitioning out of the Infant stage. He is crawling and exploring his boundaries. This is exciting for him but far more exciting are his new teeth. Although his bottom front teeth came in a while ago he found them quit useless until his matching top teeth joined the party. Now he enjoys shredding through pancakes, waffles and French toast sticks. No more gummy smiles here in the Keyes house.

Having a big brother means you can try things that you normally couldn't do because you have him to support you.  Sometimes that means literally support you.  Here is a clip of Tyson helping Levi get up to the top of a tall playnasium so he could go down the enormous curly slide.  This is a feat that Tyson himself has only just now been able to master.  We got a good laugh watching him manhandle his little bro.

Mid Day Jamming

The title of this post could have easily been "Ridiculousness".  While you all were at work or teaching your kids something productive, we had a full on boogie session.  Tyson puts on quite a show and Levi does his best to keep up with his big brother.  Naturally, it ends in a fight when Tyson tries to convert Levi's toy Blackberry into some kind of Mayan flute or who knows what.  Don't resist the urge to get out of your seat and let the music take control.

Leave it to Levi to go the extra mile and do some reorganizing during what was supposed to be his nap time.  Thanks for being Daddy's Little helper!

Our Blog Now Has A Mobile App

More and more of us have smartphones and mobile devices that support apps.  I have been trying to find a way to get this blog onto an app for easy viewing and now I'm pleased to say we have one and its FREE!
Here's a video with instructions on how to get the app for Apple and Android devices.

How To Get The Keyes Family Bonus Features Mobile App from Jennifer and Kevin Keyes on Vimeo.

1. Go to the App Store or Android Market and search for an application called Bloapp.  It is a free download and you will need this app to view our blog.
2. Once you download the app, open it up.  There will be a few "Tips" on how to use the app more effectively.  You can read them or just tap through them.
3. There are 2 basic ways to find our blog on this app.  
1. Search by tapping the magnifying glass and type KEYES in the field and press search.  You should see an Icon of our blog pop up in a few seconds.
2. The other method is to tap the camera shutter button on the bottom center of the app's screen. This will bring up the app's camera mode.  Then go on your computer to The Keyes Family: Bonus Features blog page.  At the top left of the screen you will see a QR Code 'bar code'.  Point you camera at the QR Code and it will find our blog instantly!
4. Then all you need to do is press the ADD button and our blog will be in your bookmarks.

After you have completed these steps you can now easily view our blog on your mobile device.  All you need to do is open the Bloapp app, go to Bookmarks, and click on our Icon.  Jenn's dad was able to do this in about 3 minutes and had no problems so hopefully you give it a try too.  After all, its FREE and now you can keep up with the Keyes' while you're on the go.

...I Can Explain

Levi....Levi....Levi........
Well, he's our Levi. He likes to climb and jump and be a daredevil.  Unfortunately not all of his stunts go as planned.  But in true Keyes fashion he chooses to never give up.

In our first ever post on The Keyes Family: Bonus Features, Levi was caught ransacking our pantry for a cookie.  The treats have since been moved to a higher shelf but Levi finds a way.

Levi has once again been living up to his nickname "Monkey".  He now climbs up to the third shelf of the pantry to get himself chocolate chips.

Winter Rewind!

Winter is on its way out and the time just seems to fly! It wasn't that long ago that football season was wrapping up and now here were are getting the pool toys out and stocking up on sun screen.  Here is a whole bunch of footage and pics for your viewing pleasure!

Christmas is a special time...when all of the world is right. Sharing so much joy and cheer...and having a lightsaber fight.

Tyson and Levi got really awesome Lightsabers for Christmas.  Wyatt got the Schwartz Ring.

That evening we left Gainesville and drove north into the bitter cold of Canfield Ohio where temperatures were in the 20's! BURRRRRRR! Yes, it is true. A land where ponds freeze over and become 'ice' and they have stuff that the natives refer to as 'snow'.  Pretty amazing.  The Keyes boys were more interested in the idea of snow...not the actual cold stuff.  Nonetheless, Tyson got his wish this year and saw snow on his birthday at NeNe and Pop Pop's house.

Tyson Got to see snow on the day of his Birthday Party.  Levi could do without it.
